Prompt Response: There's only one real option in this scenario, and it's telling your partner. Telling a friend won't make the situation resolve or fix itself. Sure, telling a friend gets the guilt off yourself for a time. If you keep building and building, time not telling your partner the worst consequences; you're gonna have to go through. Your loyalty will be broken no matter what. If you tell them, then you must rebuild it over time   

Summary: always tell your partner what's happening in life, or there will be worse consequences for you in the future
